2006 toyota corolla ce drum brake adjustment question

yes i have a 2006 Toyota corolla ce automatic , and was wondering how do i adjust the drum brakes when going in reverse how do you actually do it do you just go in reverse and slam the brakes for a few minutes  more or less  or you just ride the brakes in reverse for a couple of minutes or longer ok thanks

The brakes should self-adjust with backing up in normal daily use. You don't need to do anything special. It is common, however, for drum brake adjusters to seize up and stop working when they get old.

It's a good idea with that set up to pull off the drums once in a while and put some lubricant on the star wheel adjuster at the bottom of the backing plate, and on the linkage for the parking brake as well.
