yes i got a 2006 Toyota corolla it has the oem maf sensor on it but i noticed for a while now when i drive the car for a while and then park it and just let the car idle the maf sensor reads 1.6 or 1.59 g/s my car has a 1.8 liter engine , was wondering if that's normal or is there something wrong with the maf sensor , someone told me it should read about 1.8 or a little higher at idle or after driven , i did check for vacuum leaks and didn't find anything ok let me no thanks
Please read the posting instructions. You need to post your odometer, automatic/manual transmission and any OBD trouble codes. Also since your car was offered with different engines (1ZZ-FE, 2ZZ-GE), post that too.
wondering if that's normal
How does the engine run? What do the fuel trims say?
is there something wrong with the maf sensor
You would get an error code if there was. To me it looks like its responding normally.
i did check for vacuum leaks
How?
the fuel trims also read normal also
So they are close to zero?
In that case I would touch absolutely nothing.
the car is a automatic and it has 111,000 miles on it , the fuel trims also read normal also
@zebra1s Thank you. I believe the automatics only came with the non sports 1ZZ engine.
i forgot the car has the 1.8 1zzfe engine it doesnt have the 2g its the base ce model
