I just bought a 2006 toyota corolla manual transmission with about 88,000 original miles. Im still learning stick shift, but the accelerator is very touchy and I'm constantly giving it too much gas when i do not mean too. Is there someway i can adjust the sensativity of the accelerator? Or clean the throttle body as my next little project? The air filter is still clean, and the oil is recently changed as well. I was thinking of cleaning the throttle body because the cars idle jumps betweem 800 and 1200 sitting in the driveway with no accessories on (like ac) please help, I am tired of smellimg my clutch every morning on my way to school!

Clean the throttle body is a good idea.

If you're smelling your clutch you are riding the clutch.  You need to practice disengaging and engaging it so you won't wear it out prematurely.  Toyota had a problem with their drive by wire, electronic throttle pedals sticking.  You might want to check for recalls and technical service bulletins to see if your model and year were part of it.
