2006 Toyota Tundra Water Pump

Hi. I have a 2006  Tundra with a 6 cylinder engine. It has 399,000 miles. Should I go ahead and change the water pump? I can't see it going much longer. I just noticed the radiator also has a tiny leak. The truck may not be worth much but it still runs like it is brand new. What do you think? Thanks!

If the pump is working then I'd leave it alone. I wouldn't be opening any cans of worms with 400k

Thank you!

Agree with MMJ with one caveat. If you are replacing the radiator, and it is a PITA job to get in and out AND you have to remove it to change the water pump... I would change it. If you can do the water pump without pulling the radiator or if pulling the radiator is easy peasy, let it be.

dude 3000 5000 right now for that truck coast to coast so long as the frame is solid fix it if the water pump is weeping or making noise fix the radiator quick before you kill that jem it still has a long life ahead of it

Thanks! Replaced the radiator a couple of weeks ago. The water pump is next. No leaks on it. Didn't know the truck was worth that much. Thanks for informing me of that. Best truck/vehicle I have ever owned. Nothing has come close!
