Hey @scottykilmer! Greetings! I have a 2009 Honda. There is a 'dub dub dub' sound that has been coming from the front end of my car while going over rough patches. I live in India, so there more rough patches on the road than the road itself. I thought it was the sway bar bushings, So i got them replaced. the noise had reduced for 2 days and then returned.  I thought it may have been a tyre problem, so i got the wheels rotated, balanced and realigned. But no luck. The sound is not a metallic thud or a thumb. Just something that has been hitting the rubber kinda noise. What should i do?! Please help.

P.S. the bushings were replaced once before also, but they apparently were not fitting properly. So we got the original Honda ones.

I had also gotten a lot of other suspension work done a few months ago, namely the Steering Rack ends, the tie rod ends, the ball joints, that's when the problem actually started.

Make a video of the sound, upload it to YouTube & post the link here.

Also, always mention the year, make, model & mileage of the vehicle in your opening post, please.

 Check the struts.

I have has the struts checked as well. The car's overall suspension is on the harder side. So there is nothing other than that. Also no leakages or anything to be found.

You did not mention the model, but generally, the Hondas do have sporty ride. If you are sure that everything is ok, if you get another set of struts that ride a bit better, it will help the situation.

Its a Honda City Type 5. Yeah it has a sporty ride. But it did not make that sound before. It is making it now though 🙁

As I said before, change the struts. They might be a bit worn out.

If it’s the struts, use KYB Excel-G struts. Stay away from the junky Gabriel/Monroe struts.
