Hi Scotty. I haven’t heard you talk about these GM crossover SUVs much and I think they are definitely worth discussing on your page. These GM travesties are the biggest money pits I have ever encountered. Between their crappy 3.6 engine with their timing chain issues and oil consumption problems and their weak transmissions, I think I would warn the public about these awful cars. Not to mention they are also an electrical nightmare. I bought a used 2008 Acadia that had over 20k worth of receipts all done by a GM dealer. The timing chain was completed before I bought it to the tune of $4500 and a new GM serta transmission was installed at $4000. This was 40k miles before I bought the car. It had all new wheel bearings, brakes and a/c at this time. I owned the car for around 20k miles. In that time, the timing chain codes kept coming on, the electrical issues were a nightmare and the transfer case was leaking profusely, a/c quit, DVD player quit, two windows stopped working. All in 20k miles. It’s pretty common for these vehicles above I mentioned. I traded it in for a newer Ford Explorer. And I’m not a Ford guy.
I'm sure your Ford Exploder will be a journey of discovery as well. Good luck.
he's got videos about them
