Yesterday my dads truck go stuck in the snow. attempting to rock the vehicle free the vehicle stalled out. Trying to restart resulted in a no crank no start. Checking connections at the starter I found the starter was hot enough it burned my hand. Had the starter tested and the part store said the starter had failed. put the new starter in and all i get is the loud click and dimming lights like a bad battery. My dad put a new battery in and same result. Alternator was replaced last year and getting battery voltage to the alternator. I got voltage to TIPM and checked every fuse in the TIPM as well removing the TIPM checking the connectors and wires and the circuit board itself for any signs or corrosion or signs of heat failure. everything has checked out so far. With no codes im not sure where else to look.

Starter circuit relay.  Correct voltage is not getting to the starter.  Load test the battery again.  Did you maybe get a bunch of junk jammed up into the nose of the starter where it is attached to the trans bell housing?

Found the problem. Something caused the engine to seize up.
