Scotty,
I have a 2007 F250 superduty Lariat FX4 with 117,000 miles. It was handed down to me and I have no money into it. It does have the 6.0 powerstroke and I hear the problems that plague that engine. I would only use it as a secondary vehicle. Given this scenario what would you do? Drive it till it dies? Spend the money for a bulletproofing kit? Sell it and get something more reliable?

Depends if you plan on keeping truck long term. Even as a secondary vehicle I would still invest the money to bullet proof it. If you try to sell it you might get lucky and find a person who is not to smart or would want to put money into it. Otherwise no one is going to pay a lot for it.
