shake when accelerating

I recently got a 2007 Honda Odyssey with 130k miles

So around 39- late 40s usually when just accelerating, you feel a wobble or shake from front of car. But when you let off of gas, goes away. a mechanic said it’s the front struts. But not sure if he’s right.

He said he read all live data on trans and engine while I was driving and he said it all came out great. And that if it was a trans shudder his high end scanner would have picked it up. Is this true?

Also when driving I let off of gas and sometimes feels like it is catching on something. Idk how to explain it. Like it slows down.

Well of course, technically a scanner can find problems but it isn't going to talk and tell you. You would have to put in various transmission data parameters. Record them in graph format. Why you did a road test then after it acted up go back and analyze that data. That would show if it was a transmission problem or not. The scanner itself isn't going to pick up many problems with codes. It would only be my analyzing live graphic data that you could find out if there was a transmission problem or not. No for my experience with those that usually is a transmission problem beside start by finding the guy like me to analyze it. If you're anywhere near Clarksville, Tennessee, feel free to bring It
