Hey Scotty, about 2 years ago I bought a 2007 Lincoln MKX (6 speed auto) FWD with 164k miles instead of an 08 Lexus ES 350 with 120k miles. Boy what a mistake that was. Just about 2 months after buying the car it started shifting rough, this wasn't a major issue until about 3 days ago when now sometimes it will get stuck in first or violently shake while shifting. Additionally the RPMs will shoot up a lot right before up-shifting. Is there any way this issue could be fixed without replacing or rebuilding the entire transmission? The engine doesn't burn any oil and seems to have a lot of life left in it.
The only real cheap thing you can do is use that Lucas stop slip and see if you get lucky.
Oh I forgot to mention I already added that stuff about half a year ago and it didn't help much.
