If I were to put this under my r56 cooper s, will I have to drill new thread points in the sub frame? Or do I have to install a subframe from an R57 Convertible into my R56 hardtop to make the part 51617113473 fit in the car? I want to install it to improve grip as I already have a front strut mount which makes the car nice and stiff at the front but now the rear is Lucy goosey and I was informed the strut tensioner piece off a r57 is a direct bolt on.

Well, you're going to have to ask an expert on minis on that and I'm certainly not an expert on minis. But since they sell a part I'm sure it's not that big of a deal installing it
