Just bought this 07 Nissan Altima 2.5 S just to have it crap out on me a week later. I was driving back home then started to get a bad idle when stopped service engine soon light went off and on repeatedly. Being i was in traffic and couldn't turn in anywhere I drove til I could find a spot to park as I hit the last set of lights engine light went off, it sounded like it was about to shut off. I assumed it could of been the Throttle Body or MAS so I cleaned those and still had the problem. Engine shakes with rough idle more when stopped I also changed spark plugs after watching videos thinking maybe it misfired. Now I'm just wondering if anyone could help me out so I can get rid of this piece of junk.
Double check that ribbed hose (and all hose connections) between the MAF sensor and the intake.
If the hose is cracked, or any other air leaking ahead of the MAF sensor the engine will stumble and stall at idle.
Carlos has it. Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere.
