Hi Scotty my 2014 Toyota Matrix has a C1422 code. I have to press deeper on the brake pedal to start feeling the brake, more than 1.5 inches deep. The brake fluid was recently replaced and the front brake pads are at 4mm rear pads at 8mm. Had a full inspection from the dealership recently and they said everything is ok with the car. They recommended bleeding the brakes when changing the pads in the next service.
Car has 72k miles on it.
It sounds like someone did a lousy job of bleeding your brakes after the fluid change. Take it back and have them do it correctly. Also check you fluid reservoir to see if they forgot to top it up too.
Thank for the reply. The car was bought recently. It was like this when I bought it. The dealership just replaced the fluid but didn’t bleed it. I’ll get a bleeding done.
