Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the channel, found some really helpful videos on the channel to help me fix my own car repairs. I have a question and need some help please, I recently change my power steering pump because it was making sounds, replaced hoses,  and removed old fluid. I lifted the car with jacks and moved streering wheel side to side slowly to bleed the system. After I lowered the car, I started up the car and noticed that it's making a whining noise. When I accelerate I can hear the sound, but when I turn the wheel I don't hear anything, and fluids look good. It's when I'm accelerating or stop at a light. Do you have any suggestions?

Well if it's a rebuild power steering pump often they whine because they're not rebuilt correctly. But try to pinpoint the noise using the stethoscope for a long metal screwdriver and if it is the power steering pump and it works okay now you can live with it

Well well well , I think your story sounds like mine , it started with power steering and end up with the noise from the ac clutch, I will say this from my experience. Power steering pressure hose was leaking oil and we replaced it then the pump started leaking then replaced it , the oil spill from the old power steering pump must has caused the ac clutch to fail now the whining noise it bothering me when I accelerate, and it goes away when I turn ac on but it comes back , .I am not saying Scotty was wrong but I am sharing my experience if it helps .
