i have a rav4 ,that during cold start gives a sound like this
Theres is no engine lite on dashboard ,car is automatic , have been serviced regularly and recently as well.I have different opinion from both the mechanics and another one says it all right ? i am not sure if even thers something wrong ...but look like not normal startup sound tired googling this channel for some answer ...some thread said it could be timing chain.
the engine has 139k ,but i doubt this as the previous owner never gave the log books and told it was lost.
Is it timing chain only and should i take to gaurage asap.TIA
Sounds like a timing chain is worn inside I'll see her other noises like bearing noises you might remove the fan belts and run it and pray the noise goes away showing it's an alternator bearing or something but it could be more than one thing
