Hi,
My Dad has a 2007 Toyota Camry, mileage is almost 200K km. There is a problem with the acceleration, when the pedal is pushed slightly nothing happens, no slight rev or any sort of response. The pedal needs to be pushed down 1/3 through before it slightly revs. Same thing happens when driving.
Sometimes it works perfectly fine also. When the accelerator pedal starts behaving as described above after driving for a bit check engine light come on and throws the code P2122 which is for the Throttle Position Sensor.
We have replaced the Accelerator pedal with 3 different ones and this problem has come back every time with different code (P2122, P2121 and P2129). We have also replaced the throttle body and new spark plugs. Nothing seems to be working. Any ideas?
You may have a wiring problem. Carefully check grounds, connectors, and cables.

We have checked the grounds and wiring everythings seems to be fine. This problem goes away for few months and then comes back.
We have also observed this happens when the temperature outside is really high around 44 °C and above
Well you evidently have a problem in that circuit somewhere. Since it's intermittent that makes it much more difficult to track down. Possibly a bidirectional scan tool would help find it.
