I bought an 07 hybrid. I buy & sell cars but this was an accidental purchase not knowing it was hybrid. The small 12v battery was dead so we replaced it. Every electrical mechanic we try working with is afraid of messing with it or automatically tell us the price is going to be ridiculously high. After replacing the battery, the info on the dash turned on but it sais check hybrid system. We were told we need to charge the large hybrid battery to see if that would help but we don't know what battery charger is needed since Toyota dealership told us that year does not carry a charger. {black}:serious: We look online & find some plugs but it doesn't match the fuse looking plug charger we have on the car. The guy that helped us (not a mechanic) told us it might be the inverter box that isn't communicating with the car but that might be due to a dead hybrid battery. Any pointers on where to start looking??
