2007 Toyota Corolla SR Auto 1.6
I've just bought this 2007 Corolla SR it has done 81k miles and it drives smooth, however whenever I only press lightly on the gas pedal the car lunges forward aggressively. It does the same in every gear, I've tried cleaning the throttle body that didn't work, I've also just changed the transmission fluid as it was black. No immediate improvement, any ideas?

Track down the recalls and Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) for your vehicle. Some had issues with harsh shifting. There were also problems with cracked ECM's.
This could also be a problem with the the throttle position sensor. You'll need a good scan too with live data to troubleshoot that.

I've also had two mechanics so diagnostic scans nothing found apart from 2 airbag errors.
It's a 1.6 VVT-i Petrol engine
