Hello, I have a 2007 toyota highlander hybrid awd with the cvt with 217k miles on it. I'm unsure if the transmission fluid has ever been changed and because the transmission is sealed I can't see the quality of the fluid that's in there. Is it worth draining and exchanging the fluid without flushing? It's given no signs of issues and I wouldn't want to harm it but I didn't know if that made a difference with cvt or not. Thanks, Austin
Is it worth draining and exchanging the fluid
oh yeah, and a lot more often. As often as every 30k miles.

There is no such thing as a "sealed" transmission, and you can check the fluid. It's just not as easy without a dipstick.

Yes. Be sure to use only OEM Toyota fluid.
