Mechanically this car is sound..... 185000 miles. Is there a way to deal with the paint issue (which I know is an issue for these)? Will it continue to get worse? Is there a DIY way to deal with this?

Only genuine way to fix it a full paint job.

There is a YouTube video showing how to make your paint look better, but in the end you really need to repaint it.
