Hi Scotty and fellow forum members!

I have a 2008 corolla with 244,000 KM on it and I notice a few drops of engine oil drip on my driveway after 3 days of parking. I jack up my car and found the oil pan and part near the transmission oil pan has a trace of engine oil. The last oil change was done at 241,000 KM and change the engine mount because of vibration while at it 3 months ago.

When I try to trace to the top of the engine, I manage to take a picture of the area below the brake master cylinder where there is most of the oil appears. Here's the photo link:

My question is what is the possible reason causing the oil leak? Under the hood everything seems dry, I checked the area around the valve cover is dry so I think is not the gasket problem.

Also, can I use AC oil UV leak dye to trace leaks in the car engine? I tried to find the one Scotty used UV dye for the engine but it is not available in my country.

Thanks for reading my question.

Sorry, forgot to mention the engine is 2ZR-FE 1.8 liters

Oh you can use the AC oil leak to it still work fine hey there valve cover is leaking the timing chain cover is leaking or the head gasket is leaking it's got to be one of those three and the dye will show you

Thanks for reply, Scotty! I will go get some UV dye pour in engine. I will share results here in few weeks.
