2008 Crown vic noises

1• My 2008 crown vic, 147,650 miles, has a rattling noise, can it be a bad PCV valve or something more serious?

2• There is also a high pitched/spinning noise, can that be a bad flex plate or bad lifter? Can that be fixed with some hydraulic lifter cleaner or does that mean it needs transmission repair?

3• I've also noticed my car runs hot but the temperature gauge is mainly staying to the cooler side (half way), can that be a bad radiator hose or bad coolant or nothing to worry about

Thank you for reading

Hi! The rattling sound, gotta be someplace else. Had a rattling noise in our manual transmission because we tried to change the fluid after a long time, then it started rattling, but when you press the clutch it goes away, and when it's at the normal temp.

If you can also check your temp sensor if it's still intact, might be giving false reading. Or it might be that your thermostat's about to go. A bad radiator hose will cause a leak as far as I know.

Check too if you have enough coolant and water mixture in your radiator. And if you have the correct radiator cap for your car.

Where do I find the temp sensor, where can I order a new one or can I just clean it?

I filled up the coolant to the designated cool fill level.

It was a bit low not much, but that could be from idling in this weather.
