Scotty, my 2008 crown vic is shifting hard after I got my flywheel and starter replaced.

It's giving me a turbine speed sensor code.

Can it simply be unplugged?

  1. You can try but odds but odds are when they replace the flywheel something was damaged in a transmission pulling it out and putting it in

So is the sensor able to be replaced or fixed without dropping the transmission again?

Ah the good old Vic tranny, I did the same service on my Vic and odds are your transmission didn’t want to be messed with so it’s probably pretty ticked off right now, my transmission decided to take a poo on me too and wouldn’t go into 1st, it’s rotten luck really. Take it to your trusted transmission shop let them tell you what’s up.

It's giving me a "input/turbine speed sensor A circuit" code (P0715)

I'm hoping it's just the sensor and that I don't need to drop the tranny again for $800 In NYC...
Or maybe it needs to be programmed? Because it was messed with?
Or maybe the sensor needs replacement which a new one cost like $80 bucks...

Anyway, I'm hoping I won't Need to spend much more...

Yeah by all means give the sensor a try I mean go with the cheapest thing first an if that doesn’t work than your probably sol, them transmissions are trash compared to the rest of the car. No programming is necessary for replacing a flexplate
