Looking to get clarification in regards to having service done to extend the life of my Caliber's CVT transmission. The vehicle has 140.000 miles and has only given me one issue in the past. When I was driving on the freeway in 105 degree temperature, my cluster illuminated a light indicating that the transmission fluid temperature was unsafe. I exited the freeway to let the vehicle cool down and have never encountered the problem again. With that being said, should I have the Transmission Oil Filter replaced? Considering the mileage, I don't know if the best option is to leave it alone.
What’s the present condition of the CVT fluid? Can you check it?

With that mileage I'd leave it alone is probably on its last leg anyway
