Hey Scotty.  '08 Toyota Highlander Sport AWD (Non Hybrid) i replaced the front right wheel bearing this weekend as it was loose.  Unfortunately this is a pressed in bearing which was a big job.  I put everything back together and used a new Timkin bearing not a cheap Chinese one.  Torqued the axle nut and took it for a drive, now its howling.  Is it possible i over torqued the axle nut?  the info i had said 217 ft/lbs which seems high.  can you verify that is the correct number?  ALso i hammered the bearing and hub back in place but didnt use excessive force.  I'm hoping the new bearing isn't damaged.  Everything went together fine so i'm surpised its making noise.  The wheel is now tight with Zero play.   Thanks for any help you can provide..

Well that's too tight if it's howling. Or something was on crooked and it wasn't on straighten which case it will howl. Pressing things in and out is a very precarious thing. I generally tell only mechanics to do. It's not really a do-it-yourself job
