I doubt it too. They make junk in the smaller engines with bigger turbos are going to last even less than their normal ones do

What makes you ask that question again?

I have the 1.4 naturally aspirated engine (1.36L, Kappa II MPi Dual CVVT - and had a Gamma II CVVT in the past) and the regular version is good.

The turbo 1.4 (1.35L, Kappa II T-GDi ) has good power and fuel economy and although it’s very similar to the regular 1.4, it has some issues.

Mainly, it’s often paired with crappy DCTs, is rattily, prone to vibration, does burn oil after 100,000km (60,000 miles) and has a weak timing chain.

it’s not the worst but it’s not good either. They’re fine for the first 160,000km (100,000 miles) but I see people are able to get 200,000km-225,000km (125k-140k miles) with very careful driving and very frequent service.

About as bad as a VW 1.4

Personally, I wouldn't touch on with a 10 football

Hi Scotty someone in my family has bought a Kia 1.4 turbo gdi. I went for a ride in it and didn’t like it. What is your opinion on the Kia Turbo Gdis? I doubt it will last 100,000 miles

Do not repost questions please. It's posted in the rules on the front page. Thanks.

If you buy one be sure you don't park it in your garage.
