Hey Scotty,

Chrap guy speaking  here, I saw a Lexus ES 300 w/67k mi. selling for $8,991. Are these very pricey in repairs, parts and maintenance? Is this the year with the excessive oil consumption? And is it an all around good car that'll last me?

It's great; luxurious and realiable and also cheap for the miles on the one you saw...

It is a great vehicle and can last a long time especially since it only has 67,000 miles on it. Also what year is it because that will determine if the price is good.

It's a 2008

A 2008 would be an ES 350 would it not? My 2007 ES 350 has just over 200,000 miles and still runs like a top, doesn’t burn any oil and still rides smooth as silk.

The price is good and they are excellent vehicles. The Lexus ES comes with a V6 engine, while the Toyota Camry was the one that experienced oil burning with its 4 cylinder engine.

The only issue with those is the dashboard melting/cracking so check that out when looking at it.

Make sure to have a mechanic check it out so to make sure of its mechanical shape. If its good, haggle a bit and buy it!

Also, did you mean ES350? The ES300 was discontinued for the 2004 model year when the ES330 came, and that 08 should have the 3.5 V6, meaning its an ES350.

Yes I meant ES350
