I am now looking at a 2016 Honda Accord touring v6 coupe with 95k miles all highway miles. I could probably get it for 13k. Would it be a good first car and last me a long time?

Yes, if a professional mechanic checks out the transmission thoroughly, before purchase. Walk away if it has any issues with the engine or transmission.
Price depends on location, try your best to negotiate further.

Assuming all checks out, it could be a great car as long as you take care of it.
