I am thinking about purchasing a Scion XD 2008 manual transmission 144 thousand miles. 1.8 liter 2zr-fe Do these engines have oil consumption problems? Should I look at a different model year?

Those are actually neat little cars. I've not heard of oil consumption problems with them myself.

Oil consumption is not with those engines if you take care of it it should last.
