Hello Scotty,

I own a 2008 Toyota Camry SE with 186k miles on it. It runs smooth and never had any issues but recently When I was doing around 80mph+ on a freeway, Suddenly I lose acceleration and felt something shaky underneath the car and When this happend check engine light was flashing and after 10 seconds, Check engine light goes off and the I treid to accelerate very slowly and again everything was back to normal. It happend couple of times on freeway and when I went to a mechanic, he told me to bring when the check engine light comes up. I hope you will answer my question and Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Samanth.

The engine was misfiring. Find a real mechanic who doesn't try to blow you off, and understands what a test drive is for.

Thanks@MountainManJoe for your reply to my post, I checked with the mechanic and I was told that the antifreeze is leaking into spark plugs and that is causing engine to misfire. I replaced the engine oil last month and now it is just having 2 quarts. Mechanic told me it would cost lot of money for this job

Get it scanned for codes at a local auto parts store and let us know the results.

You have a blown head gasket,  It'll cost thousands to fix.  Why were you breaking the law by going 80 mph in the first place?
