Hi, I have a 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited Assembled in Japan automatic transmission, and a local mechanic spotted a tiny oil leak while changing the oil. The car has about 100,000 miles.

Where is the leak and how big is it?

Although it doesn't have a lot of mileage, the gaskets and seals are 13 going on 14 years old. So, it could be a couple of different possibilities. Typical oil leaks are from the: valve covers, VVT oil line feed lines (if they haven't been replaced with the all metal versions), and timing cover oil leak. Hope it's not the timing cover, because that is a MF'er to fix.
