I have a 2009 honda accord coupe with 104k miles, when i accelerate i feel the transmission change gears but not a rough shift i just get a slight feel of the transmission changing gears. Is that normal for a old car?

From where I come from, that sounds normal. Why would you need to experience a rough shift anyway? Be thankful it isn't rough. As long as things are not slipping, that sounds like what you want. You have a solid transmission, so do your maintenance and check levels on fluid and you should be fine.
