I am getting a 2009 Chevy Cobalt with 85000 miles and also with an Automatic Transmission. Everything works fine drives fine. Only thing wrong is the previous owner changed a censor I do not know which one but after they changed the censor out with a new OEM censor from the owner says it shifts hard into gear. Could this be something I can fix? What should I do to fix it if I can? Could it be a bad censor they bought? Can I unplug the battery plug it back in and maybe it’ll reset itself?

I personally would not even advise my worst enemy to buy a Chevy Cobalt they're notorious for transmission problems which that has I would not buy into somebody else's problem. Too many expensive possibilities could exist

I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt LT with 105k miles that I've had since 2012 and I can tell you they're lemons! Fuel pumps, steering wheel column issues, exhaust, etc. I'm surprised I haven't encountered the infamous transmission problems. I hope to get a Ford Ranger as soon as possible. I've about had it playing chicken with this car's reliability.
