Vehicle runs hot on highway or uphill

I have a 2009 Ford Escape 3.0L V6 that has a weird temperature pattern. The car 152,000 miles on it. For the past few weeks, the temperature gauge on my car will creep up past normal but never get to H or overheat, no steam or anything, this usually occurs at highway speeds or going uphill. The gauge will then return to normal after a few seconds. The water pump was replaced 2 years ago, the thermostat was replaced last year. Took it to a shop and they said the cooling system is fine. They did a coolant flush and found no leaks either. They also replaced the coolant temperature sensor. Still have the same problem. Is the head gasket blown or is it an electrical issue? I should also mention the radio display also cuts out sometimes. Open to any ideas or suggestions at this point. Thanks!

An electrical issue would not cause overheating unless it was at low road speed or idle and the cooling fan(s) didn't turn on.

You may have a partially clogged radiator, check it for cold spots. Also see the site FAQ section on diagnosing overheating.
