You are awesome! I was driving my prius and ran out of gas. I made it out to a gas station. Filled it up. Then as i got home, the fuel indicator started to blink and read empty. For sures theres gas but indicating that its empty... what do you think?

The fuel level sending unit might be faulty.

If you let it get empty, the float in the tank may be stuck in the down position thus showing you empty. I know this sounds nuts but I wold try to drive over a few speed bumps to see if I could "un-stick" the float. It's worth a try rather than dropping the gas tank for a new unit.
