The level is a pinky width over the hot after driving for 10 miles. A see a few bubbles on the stick but didnt pay any mind. Is their something missing???? I used vavoline maxlife fluid

Please include all vehicle details as outlined in READ THIS FIRST as vehicle specifications can be quite different  between similar models. You do not want too much fluid in your transmission. I'm proving you a link to Charm.li which covers the basic steps on how to properly read a dipstick but consider this a general answer. This link is for a 2009 Forester, F4 2.5L without turbo. You should find your car's info on this site.

@hixster i checked the fluid this morning before a started it. It was on the hot side. Should i drain some out?

@bzboyd2 If the dipstick shows you are above the appropriate amount for a tested temperature then you need to remove some. This applies generally to many cars. However, "the car I linked you to should be tested when hot". I do not know if this is your engine or not because you have not yet provided your vehicle details

@hixster its a 2009 subaru forester 4 speed with non-tubro engine

@bzboyd2 Thank you for the updated specs. You shouldn't drive an automatic with too much fluid, remove some, check the level again, etc. Follow the instructions as given in the provided link and you'll be fine.

@hixster okay. thank you
