Hey Scotty, I have an 09 taco and today, I was getting my kids off to school and when I started the truck, my rear differential lock was on(my son is 1 and he likes to play inside the truck) so I pushed the button to disengage, it wouldn’t disengage, then my ABS and traction control light came on when I pushed the button.  I put it in drive, moved forward a little and I could hear the lock disengage, all lights turned off and it was normal....what would’ve caused this?  Could it be the actuator/switch on the differential?  Kind of freaked me out.

If your kid fooled with the switches it can set things off but if turning the car on and off and it goes away just keep his hands off the switches

10-4, I just went back out and turned the car on, lights are still off but if I push the differential lock the abs and traction lights come on as well now. Kind of strange, do they share a common sensor or something?
