Hello,
I have a 2009 Volvo XC60 T6, 3.0 turbo with 100,000 miles. I have recently changed the rubber diaphragm, spring and gasket for the oil trap (not the entire box) and I believe I did two mistakes which I am not sure how bad they are:
1. When I reinstalled the round cap of the diaphragm I misplaced the small hole in the cap slightly to the right of where it used to be with the original cap. Is this a problem?
2. When I reinstalled the box by mistake I broke one of the fixing bolts (Torx 30). Is this a problem? There are 13 or 14 in total I believe.
As a note, my oil trap was completely full of gunk which it took some time to clean and I am not seeing any improvement in performance with the new diaphragm (the old one was not broken). However I do have the turbo exhaust hose broken, so maybe this is the cause of not seeing an improvement. I will replace it soon.
Thanks.
oh that shouldn't really affected that much as long as it's not leaking all those other bolts and hold it okay and the position doesn't matter all that much
