I cant decide between to used corollas i looked at. First one: 2009 Corolla S(5m), 183 000km, $4900Cad, recent water pump change, has a ticking sound(sound like the fuel injectors), was inspected 2 months ago for insurance and passed everything. Second one: 2010 corolla s(5m), 192 000km, $4800Cad, clutch was replaced last summer. engine Sounds all good. Biggest concern is the clutch on the 2009 has never been replaced and felt fine when i test drove it(then again i only have 3 months of expierence with a standard) and i dont want to have a pricey clutch replacement in the near future. I'm completely stumped on which one to go with.
Go with the 2010, if a professional mechanic checks it out thoroughly before purchase. Things you want to look out for are oil burning & rust.
Even if you do end up choosing the 2009, have it inspected by your trusted mechanic (even though it was recently inspected).
