Scotty!
[2009 Lincoln Town Car (TC) w/ 233k miles] I just suffered a flat tire and I didn't have a spare! I want to put together my own full size spare; I believe that my OEM rims are 17"x7". Whenever I look up steel rims online for my TC, web sites suggest 16"x7", 17"x4", one even said a 15". I have potential to drive long distances (PHX - LA) and I don't want to get caught with my pants down again.
So, what size steel rim should I get for this full size spare?
Thank you,
Warren

Find another stock rim in a junkyard, and buy a new tyre for it.
The correct size should be mentioned in your door jamb or owner’s manual.

Just go to the junkyard and get a used rim for it. If you can't find a steel rim then get an alloy rim.
