yes car was off for like 5 hours before i checked on flat surface.

I watched mechanic put it to 2nd dot when he did it. yes oil filter was filled before putting rest of oil thru engine cover so its not like it can be wrong, even checked it weeks later afterwards, it was on 2nd dot when checked turned off car cold flat surface

what should I do at this point? top it off or keep driving and only top off if it hits 1st dot? or just change oil every 3k miles?

how can I check if pcv valve is worn if thats the case?

thx

Me I changed the oil every 3000 miles oil is cheap engines are expensive and the cleaner the oil the longer the engine will last

Could the pcv valve be worn? How can i check? Thanks

I never go past 3000 miles without changing the oil, filter and PCV valve at the same time.  It's cheap insurance against excessive crankcase pressure and mysterious oil loss.

how much is the pcv valve from the honda dealer?
