Hello,
My a/c compressor seized up, and I cannot find out how much PAG oil that I need to add after replacing my condenser and compressor. I am not sure how much PAG oil it needs in the system. My new compressor has 3 Oz of PAG oil pre-charged, but do I need to add more if I had to replace my condenser?
Thank you.
There should be a sticker in the engine compartment with that information as well as the proper refrigerant charge. Be sure to use the weight of PAG oil specified by the manufacturer of the compressor which may or may not be the same as what Ford specified originally.
Changing the condenser is not optional if you want the repair to last. Also the drier and expansion valve (or orifice tube) need to be replaced and the rest of the AC system flushed out. (Chances are your new compressor's warranty requires it.) This is to get rid of metal debris from the seized compressor. Failure to do this can quickly result in failure of the new compressor as a member here found out recently:

@chucktobias thanks! The condenser I installed came with a new dryer. Does that mean that all I need to replace now is the expansion valve?
Yes, the expansion valve needs to be replaced since it may be clogged with debris. Then you also need to flush out the evaporator and hoses to get out any tiny pieces still in the system.
