Hello Scotty and happy holidays to you and your family. I am looking at a 2010 Subaru Forester with 87,000 miles on it. It is an automatic as I can no longer drive a manual car due to a medical condition, it has a 2.5 boxer 4 cylinder engine. It has had the head gaskets replaced at 78,000 miles. I drive approx 8500 miles a year. Do you think that this would be a reliable car for me?

It should be an extremely reliable car if you change the oil every 5,000 mi and if the head gasket job was done correctly by an honest mechanic. As long as the transmission shifts good have a mechanic check the transmission and engine out before purchase
