My 2010 Ford F150 4.6 V8 started having what appears to be transmission issues last week out of the blue. Started on interstate with hard slame driving 60mph. No other issue. Then three days later hard and jerking shifting over and over driving in 30-55 mph around town. Would not go into low gear after stopping at light twice. RPM went high but finally started moving. Jerks hard decelerating from 60 mph. Jerks hard at 55-50 mph on downshift when foot off gas peddle. Real choppy 30-45 mph when upshifting.
Truck has 145,000 miles. Fluid level looked normal. Appearance was brownish-red with no black particles or metal shavings. No burnt smell. Check engine codes are P0130 and P0150 (02 sensors). One other code P0128 (termostat, temp. below threshold). Engine light appeared right after two quick jerks. No real transmission codes.
Can it be transmission or something else given codes?
Can it be transmission or something else given codes?
On most vehicles a high-end professional scan tool is necessary to read transmission codes. You need to have the transmission evaluated by a good mechanic.
