On my 2010 f150 5.4L it's running very rough and has confirmed codes p0305 p0345 p0349. And has Permanent codes that are p0018 and p0022  the truck has 144,000miles on it and timing chain was never done or messed with. I've checked camshaft position sensors and they seem to be working and vvt seems to be working oil level is good. Coil packs are good and injectors are good. As soon as I reset codes and I restart engine code p0345 instantly pops up on pending then 1min or 2 later p0349 then p0305 . I think it's the phasers and timing and chain need to be replaced and retimed. But I don't know for sure any ideas what else I can do to figure out this issue?

Or worn out phasers . I don't have fancy scann tool any other way I can check it ?

Scotty doesn't revisit questions he's already answered.

Unfortunately the answer to many problems with modern vehicles is you need to analyze it with a high-end scan tool costing thousands of dollars.

Scotty has said in his videos that if the timing chain is loose that can show up as fluctuating ignition timing, so that might be something to look at. Chances are though you're going to need a good mechanic with a fancy scan tool to diagnose the problem.

Can bad timing cause misfires? Cylinder 5 misfire is on bank 2 that's having the issues on. I've tried swapping spark plugs and coil packs cylinder 5 is still having issues. Coil packs are good and spark plugs are good

Well finally got like me and we can figure it out really fast. I just did one last week. God brought it over put on my fancy scan tool. I tested it loaded and on loaded and when the engine was loaded it showed the cam timing was way off showing the phasers are worn out. It's a simple test and anybody with the good machine can do, but we're not talking about a cheap scan we're talking about a $5,000 scanner

Do you think it's a timing issue in my case?
