Title pretty self explanatory. Looking for a small beater truck and the way the market is now its hard to get a good deal on one. I know Isuzu's can be difficult to find parts for but I wanted to know if this truck is worth the low investment.
Any help appreciated
They were cheaply made but they’re cheap to fix. Anticipate a lot of care and feeding, but if you’re handy with a wrench and don’t need to drive too many miles, they could be a useful little truck. Just don’t overpay, and get a prepurchase inspection so you don’t get one with a fatal flaw.
You know, it may not be as hard to find parts, depending on if GM still makes parts for that vehicle.
The Isuzu Hombre is a rebadged Chevy S-10 / GMC Sonoma. I am not too familiar with those trucks, but I hear that GM was better back then, than they are today.
You might want to research its counterparts, to see if they hold up over time.
(BTW, a slight technicality. Cars are rarely investments. Investments make you money. Buying a care rarely makes you money, unless you are buying some sort of classic or collector's item.)
