Hi Scotty, I drive a ‘93 Isuzu Trooper with a 5 speed manual transmission and over 298 thousand miles.
The problem I’m having is that the reverse lights don’t come on when you shift into reverse, but do come on when you’re in 3rd & 4th gear.
I am planning to replace the back-up switch, but do you suspect there can be something else causing the problem?

Replace the switch.
