Hi Scotty, I have been watching your videos for several years now. Very useful tips and tricks for the average backyard mechanic. Thank you for your work.
My question is regarding a friends 2010 mercedes glk 350 that I had done an oil change on. I realized 1000 miles later that the amount I added was incorrect. I filled it with 8.5 quarts as the book said, realizing that the book was referring to the non-4matic edition. The 4matic is supposed to take 7.5 quarts.
The car still still runs fine but is it ok to leave the oil as is until the next change or should I drain the excess immediately?

Drain out the excess. Too much oil can eventually blow the seals out
