Got a question hoping to help me with, P0017 codes being thrown, I changed 4 camshaft position sensors, cleared the code then did the drive cycle. Pulled into the parking spot turned the car off then back on and check engine light came back on again. Big O is saying a solenoid is acting up and they want to do a heavy duty oil cleanse and change, change spark plugs and a heavy duty gdi treatment for the fuel system. So, should I let them do that or should I change out the ovc solenoid Valves myself and see how it goes??? Thanks for any and all help. (Btw they also suspect the timing chain and or tensioner for 1500)
Do not let them do anything. Find an independent mechanic who won't try to up sell you a bunch of needless, expensive junk. Do not go to these chain shops.
