Scotty, the HVAC vent switching system on my 2010 Honda CRV FWD no longer works. It seems to have defaulted to the vents under the dash and will not blow thru the middle vents or defrost vents regardless of A/C or heat setting. The fan appears to be working.

I would start with checking for a blown fuse, first. Fuse No. 36 (10A) in the under the dash fuse/relay box. If that’s OK, check all connections for poor or corroded conditions. If all that checks out and still problem, your car has a self-diagnostic function.
For that, you need a detailed procedure. It includes a series of pushing and holding control buttons on the climate control panel. That will force self-diagnosis mode.

System will go through all bunch of tests automatically, … and blink if it finds a fault. Number of blinks ( from 1 to 7 ) will indicate what the problem might be, … at that point you will most likely have to rip an under-dash part of your CRV

Anyway, … all above said, if you get a written procedure from ???, you should be able to do component testing, … like air mix control motor, mode control motor, recirculating control motor, …

Lets hope it’s just an errant fuse!

Where can I get a detailed procedure that includes which series of buttons should I depress so the system can go through its own test?
